Sent Template Report & Wallet Spending Telemetry
Overview & Financial Telemetry
WhatsApp Business API messaging operates on a paid conversation and per-template consumption model governed by Meta's official category pricing. Because marketing broadcasts and transactional alerts involve direct monetary expenditures, marketing leaders and finance managers require exact, real-time auditing of:
- Outbound Dispatch Volume & Handset Delivery Rates (verifying templates reached customer phones).
- Prepaid Conversation Wallet Deductions (tracking message consumption by category).
- Itemized Campaign Costs (evaluating cost per delivery across marketing broadcasts).
The Sent Template Report section in /dashboard/analytics contains two specialized views:
- Overview (
wallet-spending-overview): Aggregate template message volume, delivery/read ratios, interactive delivery time-series graphs, and template-by-template performance tables. - Broadcast Spending (
wallet-spending-broadcasts): Campaign-by-campaign financial audits detailing recipient counts, Meta category rates, and total rupee deductions.

Time-Series Bucket Engine
- Dynamic Sampling: For date ranges between 1 and 90 days, the engine calculates up to 12 normalized display buckets.
- Visual Distinction:
- Teal / Green Line: Handset Delivery confirmation.
- Blue Line: Read / Opened confirmation.
- Rose / Red Line: Delivery failure alerts.
- Dotted Grid: Displays volume scaling against the peak dispatch day.
3. Template-by-Template Performance Table

5. Meta Category Billing Structure & Conversation Rates
Meta bills WhatsApp Business accounts based on the Template Category approved during template submission.
| Category | Typical Use Cases | Indicative Rate (India) | Billing Trigger |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marketing | Promotions, festive discounts, new arrivals, product launches, event invitations, re-engagement broadcasts. | ~₹0.96 / msg | Charged upon successful delivery of the marketing template. |
| Utility | Order confirmations, appointment bookings, shipping tracking links, payment receipts, service outage alerts. | ~₹0.16 / msg (80%+ Lower) | Charged upon successful delivery of the utility template. |
| Authentication | One-Time Passwords (OTPs), multi-factor verification codes, password reset PINs. | ~₹0.16 / msg | Charged upon delivery of the OTP template. |
| Service (Inbound) | Freeform customer support replies sent within the 24-hour service window. | Free (Meta standard) | No per-message fee during open 24h service window. |
[!IMPORTANT] Optimizing Campaign Costs: Always ensure non-promotional alerts (such as booking confirmations and receipts) are submitted under the Utility category rather than Marketing. Choosing Utility reduces your Meta messaging expense by over 80%.
6. Prepaid Wallet Mechanics & Recharges
Wabixo operates on a prepaid conversation wallet:
- Automatic Deduction: Whenever an automated bot, broadcast campaign, or agent sends an outbound template, the applicable category fee is deducted from your workspace wallet balance.
- Failed Dispatch Protection: If Meta rejects a message before dispatch (for example, if the recipient phone number is not registered on WhatsApp), the wallet is not deducted.
- Low-Balance Safety Thresholds:
- When the wallet drops below ₹500, a persistent banner appears on the dashboard.
- If the wallet balance reaches ₹0, broadcast campaigns are automatically held in
Pausedstatus to prevent incomplete deliveries.
- Recharging Wallet: Account owners and billing managers can recharge instantly via Settings > Billing & Subscription using UPI, Credit/Debit cards, or Net Banking via Razorpay.
7. Customer Support AI Agent Playbook & FAQs
Use this knowledge base to resolve customer inquiries regarding template delivery and wallet billing.
Q1: "Why does my campaign report show 'High Failures' (sub-85% delivery)?"
Resolution: High failure rates occur when recipient contact numbers are invalid.
- Verify Country Codes: Ensure mobile numbers include the country code without leading plus signs or spaces (e.g.
919876543210for India).- Inactive Numbers: Check whether contacts in your list have uninstalled WhatsApp or switched off their handsets.
- Opted-Out Contacts: If contacts have sent
STOPorUNSUBSCRIBE, they are automatically suppressed to protect your sender reputation.- Clean your CSV contact lists before launching high-volume broadcasts.
Q2: "Was I charged for messages that failed to deliver?"
Resolution: No. Meta does not charge for messages that fail to reach their servers (e.g., unregistered WhatsApp numbers or gateway rejects). Wabixo only deducts wallet balance for messages successfully acknowledged by Meta's routing gateway.
Q3: "Why did a simple appointment reminder cost me ₹0.96 instead of ₹0.16?"
Resolution: This occurs when the template was submitted to Meta under the Marketing category instead of Utility.
- Meta automatically reviews template text during submission. If an appointment reminder contains promotional language (such as "Book today and get 15% off next visit"), Meta automatically classifies it as Marketing.
- To resolve this, create a new template strictly containing appointment details (Date, Time, Stylist, Location) without promotional copy, and submit it under the Utility category.
Q4: "Where can I download tax invoices for my wallet recharges?"
Resolution: Tax invoices with GST breakdown are available under Settings > Billing & Subscription > Invoices. Invoices are generated automatically upon successful Razorpay payment and can be downloaded as official PDFs.
